Providence Health & Services Senior Marketing Platform Architect in Seattle, Washington
The Digital Innovation Group (DIG) at Providence St. Joseph Health is a small but mighty product development and incubation team that is building next-gen tools that give patients convenient and easy access to healthcare virtually anywhere, anytime.
We are seeking a Senior Platform Architect in Renton, WA to join our Data Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and evolving our marketing technology to enable a single view of our customer inclusive of data identity stitching and coupled with marketing tools for personalization and advanced automation. You will recommend a marketing enterprise architecture based on best practices in healthcare data and platform architecture practices. You drive the build of a data process that collects, connects, centralizes, and curates data from various internal and external sources to marry systems together an enable our internal customers to market the most efficient and relevant way possible. You will work with a team of data enthusiasts, who are reaching across the Healthcare-IT-aisle to marry medical history with modern marketing technology (and respect patient’s autonomy at the same time, i.e. be familiar with HIPAA regulations).
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee and direct the development of a marketing platform ecosystem that meets business objectives for a health system
Lead the marketing enterprise data plan and principles, as well as organizational direction and culture
Own and lead the development of modern data architectures: event driven architecture, data democratization, platform approaches to machine learning/AI at scale, stream processing and integrating real time analytics into customer applications.
Develop data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems around our electronic medical record (EMR) tools
Provide expertise in defining data structures, data layer and data integration practices for business and healthcare intelligence or for operational uses
Define and communicate elements of architectural vision for data storage, access, protection, and use in many applications
Oversee selection, implementation, deployment, and transition of data storage, transfer, and other data processes and services at a departmental (marketing/digital) level
Assist with business and healthcare reporting using database tools (certification with EPIC or other EMR tools preferred)
Engage other technical subject matter experts across the Providence domain to solicit input, feedback, perspective, and (as appropriate) assistance
Recommend long-term data solutions in accordance with an understanding of the methodology, architecture, business needs, and strategic success of the organization
Experience in distributed architectures such as Microservices, SOA, and RESTful APIs
Required qualifications for this position include:
6 year’s relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of SQL (T-SQL/Snow-SQL/etc.)
Advanced knowledge of cloud integrations in AWS or other
Expert analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with complex applications, technologies, and businesses
Demonstrated ability to think strategically
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions to non-technical business partners and leadership
Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions
BS in Computer Science, engineering, math, or equivalent training/experience
Experience with unstructured and semi-structured data
Experience with cloud data warehousing and the ELT process
Experience presenting expert technical information to professional groups
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience/ certification in Healthcare or related industry inclusive of EPIC data structures and HIPAA compliance
Desire/passion to help determine the appropriate algorithms to solve a given problem through testing, analysis, and validation with the business
Desire/passion to conduct information-sharing and/or teaching sessions to facilitate increased awareness of industry trends and upcoming initiatives
Experience in integrating and supporting Marketing and Consumer technology platforms and stacks such as Adobe, Oracle, SAS, and Salesforce.
