Providence Health & Services Senior Manager, Website Experimentation and Optimization in Seattle, Washington

The Digital Innovation Group (DIG) at Providence St. Joseph Health is a small but mighty product development and incubation team that is building next-gen tools that give patients convenient and easy access to healthcare virtually anywhere, anytime.

We are seeking a Senior Manager for Website Experimentation and Optimization in Seattle, WA to lead tests on new messages, new audiences and media/channel combinations in small scale tests to prove value before moving to full scale execution. You will develop new ways to achieve growth objectives, reach audiences, and build our brand. You will do this by seeing data from all possible angles, and investigate what data means for real business outcomes and help create customer-centric marketing experiences.

We’re looking for a conversion rate optimization marketer, someone who understands consumers and be able to drive measurable improvements in getting them what they need, when they need it, how they need it, and why they would need it. Healthcare has traditionally been focused around getting you to a doctor as soon as possible. However, today's consumers are much more informed, and they expect more.

We are building a “Conversion Machine” that uses data to drive meaningful changes in revenue per visitor (RPV) in each of PSJH’s conversion funnels. You’re the right person for this role if: You measure everything, and are focused on optimization, A/B testing and scalability in a relentless pursuit of growth. You are able to admit failure and are not scared of pivoting when needed. You love constructing and conducting complex data analyses to be used for strategic decisions by stakeholders across the company.

You’re the right person for this role if you are excited to experiment quickly, fail fast and are focused around finding ways to optimize the company website and digital experiences. By building a superior optimization and experimentation engine that uses rigorous testing, thinking about consumer experience and reducing friction, and by easing consumers' path to care, patients will be healthier and PSJH will be seen as a trusted partner in their health and wellness ecosystem.

This is NOT a general digital marketing role – expertise in and passion for optimization & experimentation is required.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Establish coversion rate optimization roadmap by (1) Defining the “pain points” of our consumers, (2) Analyze marketing touch points, metrics and funnel friction points, (3) developing an experimentation roadmap that drives scalable learnins and larger website applications. We don't want to just find the color of a button to be changed, we want to significantly help a journey to be changed.

  • Infuse conversion rate optimization and testing culture within Providence by Infusing PSJH conversion experimentation both in what we do, but in how others in the organization think. This includes, training, educating, modeling, and demonstrating the value of optimization.

  • Use Data & Research to inform both the testing hypotheses as well as assessing impact of the experiments. In order to do this, you will need to understand data infrastructure and tooling (we use Google Analytics, Optimizely, Evergage, Eloqua, Sitecore), You will also have to have a POV on identifying and tracking KPI's and reporting mechanisms to inform strategic goal progress

  • Communication is key in this role to inform and influence. So, you must have a skill to understand the complex but making it simple in crafting presentations, analysis, business impact and approaches to problem statements, hypothesis, results and findings to a broad stakeholder group.

  • Plan, launch, measure, and optimize high value and volume conversion programs to grow brand, digital transactions (appointments, downloads, etc), registrations, and monthly active users. Your should be able to scale learnings across the enterprise, work with regional team to evolve A/B experiments to map to relevant business outcomes. The execution of these experiments is too agnostic and the right tool will be matched to the right experiment design.

  • Training others on how to think about experimentation and conduct experiments will allow this role to scale. This role requires agency management with the potential to manage people in the future.
