Providence Health & Services Senior Digital Strategy Manager in Seattle, Washington
The Digital Innovation Group (DIG) at Providence St. Joseph Health is a small but mighty product development and incubation team that is building next-gen tools that give patients convenient and easy access to healthcare virtually anywhere, anytime.
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Digital Strategy in Seattle, WA that will support Providence’s efforts to adopt technology to improve care delivery and our operations. Functions will include developing long term digital strategies for various parts of the enterprise, partnering with clinical and functional colleagues to assess needs and implement solutions, run quantitative analyses to assess the business impact of challenges and opportunities, conduct market research of digital health companies and trends, and design and launch pilots.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Develop strategic plans for adopting digital tools in various areas of the PSJH enterprise, based on input from clinical and administrative partners, market research, and quantitative analysis
Work with clinical and business leaders across PSJH to identify clinical and operational needs and assess fit of digital technology
Conduct rigorous analytical and financial analyses based on patient-level and financial data to quantify problem sizes and estimates of expected impact
Facilitate process to explore potential digital tools for target areas at PSJH, including identifying root problems, defining solution requirements, evaluating owned and market solutions, and assessing opportunities to build tools in-house
Project manage process to launch digital pilots, including creating and maintaining a project plan, recruiting pilot sites, securing budget, coordinating with vendors and sites, ensuring implementation steps are executed efficiently
Effectively communicate the merits of pursued projects to solicit and maintain support of stakeholders from across the organization
Evaluate market trends, including national health system efforts, digital technology advancements, and industry and policy developments
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Analytical Field Or equivalent educ/experience
6 years of work on strategic planning projects
3 years project management experience implementing operational and/or organizational changes
3 years of translating high level strategic plans to implementation plans, gathering organizational buy-in, and setting up processes to successfully execute strategies
4 years of significant analytical experience building financial and operating models
Demonstrated analytical skills and data-driven approach
Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive interaction and problem identification and resolution.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
Demonstrated planning and project oversight/management skills
Ability to conduct rigorous strategic planning process, incorporating quantitative and qualitative analyses to produce actionable tactics
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in MBA Or equivalent educ/experience
4 years healthcare experience, particularly with providers
