Providence Health & Services Product Manager in Seattle, Washington

Description:

The Digital Innovation Group (DIG) at Providence Health & Services is a small but mighty product development and incubation team that is building next-gen tools that give patients convenient and easy access to healthcare virtually anywhere, anytime.

We are looking for a passionate Digital Product Manager to manage digital products as part of Providence’s digital services team, which supports Providence’s Mission and vision through leadership and management of the system’s online presence, including public websites, the intranet, physician and patient portals, as well as social media platforms, mobile applications and other extensions of the digital experience.

In this position you will:

  • Develop objectives and drive product strategies which take into consideration business objectives, competitive landscape, customer needs, and budget constraints

  • Use knowledge of Providence strategic direction and technical environment to contribute innovative and new ideas and to help select and prioritize applications to be implemented

  • Monitor developing internet trends, make recommendations, look for integration opportunities for content, strategic partners, and technology. Collect and analyze competitive and industry intelligence to stay informed of advancement and improvement opportunities

  • Team closely with business and development teams to scope projects, uphold high usability standards, support development, optimize products, and define product roadmaps

  • Develop business cases and project charters for proposed products and projects

  • Develop cost-benefit-analysis, product-level budgets and funding requests

  • Work closely with the web development team and technical partners to communicate requirements and ensure proper implementation of products

  • Work with vendor managers to provide direction and requirements for product improvement

Qualifications:

Required qualification for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of workplace experience, education and/or training

  • 5 years of experience with an emphasis on web products and building and leading cross functional teams; or 5 years of progressive product management experience

  • Previous experience successfully working in a highly matrixed work environment

  • Previous experience in vendor and contract management and contract negotiations

  • Demonstrated ability to work innovatively to find new solutions, new delivery capabilities

Preferred qualification for this position include:

  • Master of Business or Health Administration
