Providence Health & Services Principal Product Operations Manager (Digital Innovation Group) in Seattle, Washington
The Digital Innovation Group (DIG) at Providence is a small but mighty product development and incubation team that is building next-gen tools that give patients convenient and easy access to healthcare virtually anywhere, anytime.
We are seeking a Principal Product Operations Manager to join our Digital Innovation Group team in Seattle, WA or one of our remote locations in Oregon or California.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
CUSTOMER IMPLEMENTATION OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE AND CONTINUOUS PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT:
Creates influence strategies that cross organizational boundaries to achieve broad business goals.
Aids key stakeholders in identifying business requirements.
Defines the appropriate implementation/scale approach. Delivers outcomes that are consistent with the product/service values and meaningfully different than those of competitors.
Defines and sculpts vision for an area of product operations by anticipating trends and looking for ways to keep the application implementation and support standards on the competitive edge.
CUSTOMER FOCUS AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:
Establishes and communicates operations direction and strategy for a product line/division, resulting in a sense of cohesion and operational efficiency across multiple touch points for the customer.
Creates and directs product operations principles, and establishes and communicates implementation guidelines that scale to perform globally.
INFLUENCE PRODUCT ROADMAP BASED ON OPERATIONS, SCALING or CUSTOMER LEARNINGS:
Ability to identify market opportunities for feature and product development to be included in the product idea backlog and/or roadmap.
Interprets the product roadmap and strategy and extracts and shares insights regarding customer and business impact against current customer configuration and utilization.
Leads and facilitates build/buy/partner analysis.
Determines which functional areas need to participate in the evaluation.
Able to identify and distinguish areas for partnership vs. transactional relationships.
Deep understanding of market offerings to solve requirements including technology trends, pricing and what our competitors are implementing.
Facilitates contracting process and ensures compliance and risk management.
Able to identify resolve blockers across the organization including legal, compliance and IS security.
Works with outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
Begins to find ways to accomplish more by enabling others.
Overcomes obstacles by resolving issues, regardless of team boundaries, and identifies and resolves teamwork issues.
Engages and maintains consistent communication with all relevant parties until issues are resolved.
Promotes a positive team environment by modeling behavior that promotes good morale.
Tailors communication to a variety of audiences and perspectives, and anticipates issues to prevent unnecessary conflict.
Incorporates diverse perspectives to thoroughly address complex issues.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business or Public Administration, or other related business, scientific or engineering fields -OR- equivalent education/experience.
10 or more years relevant industry experience shipping consumer-facing and/or enterprise software and have delivered solutions end-to-end.
Track record of taking successfully implementing enterprise software and delivering ongoing continuous improvement to the product value proposition through customer led product feedback loop.
Experience coordinating with legal counsel, security and compliance, IS and other external teams as needed to ensure product adoption.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Business or Public Administration, or other related business, scientific or engineering fields -OR- equivalent education/experience.
10 or more years Software Product Management or Product Operations.
7 years healthcare Industry.
10 or more years in Project Management.
