Providence Executive Director, Brand Research And Insights in Renton, Washington
This executive-level position is accountable for transforming Research and Insights into a high-impact and respected center of excellence. The department will proactively provide consultative direction, perspective, insights, market intelligence and measurement to support the Providence brand, brand experience, service lines, digital innovation, and customer/caregiver decisions and goals.
The position reports to the Vice President, Brand Strategy and Insights. The position will hire and develop an effective team of marketing researchers to shape direction and inform strategic and tactical decisions.
The team will identify core human truths to influence executional strategy, goals and metrics to ensure line-of-sight to success; translate data or insights into actions and recommendations; produce effective communication and provocation to influence decision-making, and brand, caregiver, patient, and product planning.
This position will advise and interface directly with executives and leaders.

Architect, transform, and manage Research & Insights' vision, team, capabilities, annual budget and plan, and impact to support Providence's mission, brand, and goals.
Hire and develop an effective team of marketing researchers to inform the decisions and development of brand strategy, campaigns; caregivers and patient retention, acquisition, engagement, satisfaction; product and experience innovation in service lines or digital; market intelligence landscape and healthcare trends/outlook.
Develop and manage a portfolio of world-class research agencies and providers who provide simple to complex qualitative, quantitative, syndicated research and market intelligence. This includes firms with consultative expertise, nimble capabilities, with proven or innovative methodologies, advanced analytics, or storytelling deliverables. Negotiate service levels and competitive costs. Conduct agency reviews.
Demonstrate executive leadership to navigate, influence and shape a large, matrixed enterprise with clear, effective communications, listening, and collaboration.
Advise executives or teams with the application of insights, market intelligence, strategic thinking and problem solving.
Advance and contribute to the impact and development of the overall Brand Strategy and Insights leadership team and organization.
Partner with Providence data analytics to generate hypotheses and explain the "why" behind internal behavioral data.
Required experience and education for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing Research, Marketing, Psychology, Data Science; or equivalent educ/experience
More than 10 years in a marketing research, insights, strategy, or consulting role in a company or agency.
More than 10 years of experience with leading and supervising teams
More than 10 years of working and collaborating with vendors and other organizations
Deep expertise and management of appropriate custom and syndicated research methodologies, design, costs
Ability to develop and up-level research capabilities such as building domain knowledge and expertise across projects and analysis to provide perspective, direction, and recommendations beyond the results
Brand management, B2C and B2B, product and service development, customer experience, satisfaction, and market outlook experience or partnering expertise to scope appropriate research for impact and actionability
Growth mindset to learn adjacent categories or new industry developments to advance the healthcare industry and Providence.
