Providence Health & Services Director of Marketing Automation in Renton, Washington
The Digital Innovation Group (DIG) at Providence Health & Services is a small but mighty product development and incubation team that is building next-gen tools that give patients convenient and easy access to healthcare virtually anywhere, anytime.
We are seeking a Director of Marketing Automation in Renton, WA to be responsible for launch impactful marketing automation strategies and campaigns to increase Acquisition of new PSJH customers and maximize Customer Lifecycle Value for existing PSJH customers. The Director will hire, lead and develop a team of marketers whose focus is to ensure we have highly targeted, personalized messages in digital/performance marketing channels. Additionally, s/he will lead and interface cross-functionally with various teams, to include Business Management, Digital, Media, Marketing, Clinical Services, as well as external agencies.
The role is perfect for a smart, process-oriented digital marketer who’s passionate about managing and optimizing the digital journeys of customers and how they interact with brands. You will be responsible for designing data-driven, lifecycle frameworks and executing customer-facing programs to increase customer engagement. You will create complex experiments, analyze results, and structure scalable programs across multiple channels (both online and offline). You must be able to work at the strategic level (generating bold and innovative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (managing team to deliver on program performance, analyzing traffic data, and solving problems).
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Evangelize our adopted Marketing Automation platform (Eloqua). Develop best practices and training, and work side by side with your marketing managers to achieve 100% adoption, and ensure that everyone is using marketing automation to its full potential.
Provide thought leadership on industry best practices and how marketing automation practices and tactics can be employed in the Healthcare industry to drive results.
Create and manage a rolling 12-month cross-channel marketing automation plan with segment-level strategies
Provide both business and technical leadership and provide direction to business, CRM team and tech partners on technical requirements issues associated with business problems and/or projects
Partner with cross functional teams to ensure effective definition, prioritization and alignment of marketing and product strategies into CRM capabilities.
Supervise in-house Email and Marketing Automation teams and help employees grow. Ensure the ongoing training and development of direct reports. Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes.
Increase lifetime value and reduce churn by engaging customers with the most targeted, relevant, and personalized content at each stage of the customer lifecycle.
Ensure continual optimization of each program to drive results versus forecast on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. Oversee efforts to ensure optimal allocation of the weekly budget investments in each program.
Develop budget and forecasts for all marketing automation channels (email, direct marketing and mobile), and be accountable for delivering against business goals and objectives.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent education/experience
9 years of marketing experience in areas including email, marketing automation, CRM, loyalty/rewards, push, direct mail, customer segmentation, and promotions in a B2C environment.
7 years’ experience with managing and improving the execution of CRM. Customer Lifecycle or Direct Marketing experience using CRM tools with proven track record in a complex business environment.
5 years’ experience running a marketing automation tool like Oracle Eloqua, Responsys, Adobe Campaign etc.
5 years team management experience, including hiring and growing high performing teams.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
